HOW TO GET THERE?

  • From Cubao ride a bus bound to Cabanatuan drop off Primark at Gapan City. Travel time is 2-3 hours.
  • From there, hire a tricycle going to Minalungao National Park. Travel time is 1.5 hours.

WHAT TO DO?

Ideally, a day tour is enough to enjoy the beauty of Minalungao. You can leave Manila early in the morning then be back by evening. Take note that guide is not required but if you want to help the locals specially the kids you can hire one, a minimum tip of P200.00 can help them.

  1. ZIP LINE

I suggest to do this first before getting yourself to the river because wet clothes are not allowed. One way is P 100.00, P 200.00 for two way.

  1. TREKKING

There is a rock mountain near the river with concrete stairs which leads to the Minalungao Cross. It is said to be 1,000 steps.

  1. RAFTING

One way to explore the area is to rent a bamboo raft equipped with tables where you can eat and relax. The raft will pass by the river, then you can stay floating there as long as you want. Rental may vary depending on the season, we are charged P600.00. If you are on a budget you can walk for three minutes to see the river and the limestone.

  1. SWIMMING

The water is crystal clear. If you’re not a swimmer don’t worry because there are life vest for rent, but if you avail the floating cottage life vests are included.

  1. CLIFF DIVING

This is free just ask your guide where the cliff diving spot is. Diving without a life vest is strictly prohibited even if you know how to swim. The water is deep but the cliff is not so high. I think you can do it.

  1. SPELUNKING

You might need a guide to explore the caves. Though it was just a quick trail but you need lights because it’s a cave hahaha. The guides have flashlights! It is advisable to wear proper shoes attire to protect you from sharp rocks along the way.
